International Women's Club of LausanneOriginally founded in 1968, we are a dynamic, fully volunteer run Club for women of all nationalities. We bring women together to build friendships, to celebrate our different cultures, to create a community, to support each other, but most importantly to have fun. |
Our CommunityWe are a proud and diverse community of women, boasting a membership of over 200 individuals. Our members include both local residents and expatriates hailing from across the globe, representing the rich cultural tapestry of many countries. Our members make their homes in the Canton Vaud and beyond, bringing a wealth of experience and perspectives to our vibrant community. This diversity is our strength, allowing us to create a unique and inclusive environment where everyone is welcome and cultural exchange is a part of everyday life. Our PurposeOur purpose is to support one another in transitioning to life in Switzerland and in forging friendships. We accomplish this by supporting one another, by sharing our wealth of experience and by creating opportunities for both club and community involvement with like-minded women. To foster a vibrant and enriching club, where connections are deepened through a diverse array of activities. From the contemplative beauty of Art Appreciation to the exhilarating challenges of Mountain Hiking, we offer a wide spectrum of activities. We positively encourage new groups to form in response to the needs of our membership. Each year we also support a Charitable organisation chosen by our membership, which gives our members the opportunity to give something back. So our aim is not just to entertain, and of course to have fun, but to inspire and engage, bringing together women from all walks of life to share in moments of joy, learning, and adventure. |
A message from Shelly, our presidentOn behalf of the International Women’s Club Lausanne, I would like to introduce you to our organisation. We are a vibrant and supportive community of women who support one another in mind, body and spirit. We accomplish this through our activities, events and fellowship. As President of the IWC Lausanne I have witnessed the transformative power of our collective strength and shared experiences. We are a culturally diverse community of women with a wealth of professional and life experience. The support and friendship gained through these connections with other women is priceless. I am extremely grateful for our community of amazing women who have graced me with their wisdom, fortitude, sense of adventure and joy! with gratitude, Shelly Winzeler |
