Art Appreciation - Chinese Whispers, Kunstmuseum, Bern

About this event :

chineses-whispers_a_content_button_contentJoin us on Friday the 23rd for our second outing of September to see the exhibition Chinese Whispers at the Kunstmuseum in Bern.

This is a very unusual collection of modern works in various media assembled by the Swiss collector Uli Sigg. It explores the vast cultural, historical and political differences that remain in western perception of modern China. Although it was due to end during the summer, this exhibition has been extended into September ( it ends on 25th). It is well worth a visit.

We plan to leave from Lausanne on the 09.20 train from Lausanne (platform 1) which will mean that we can arrive at the Kunstmuseum around 10.45. After the exhibition we are arranging for lunch at the restaurant Luce which is close by and offers a range of dishes. Everyone is then free to spend further time in Bern. Trains run half-hourly to Lausanne.

Contact Margaret and Alison at art@iwc-lausanne.org if you wish to take part.
