Hands On Art-Group "Collage"
About this event :
It’s all about creating! This group gives you the chance to exercise your creativity, share ideas and expertise and explore different art forms. We meet once a month to explore a new art/ craft technique. Fabric painting, printing, sculpture, textures, plaster, decoupage, gold leaf, collage, mosaic…the possibilities are endless. No experience is necessary, just the desire to explore and have fun!
We meet the third Monday of each month at the Imagine Creativity Workshops Studio in Lutry. Cost will cover expenses and will vary depending on what we do. Space is limited to eight but a second date is sometimes offered if there is enough interest. Detailed information on the month’s art project will be posted each month.
In March we will be doing “Collage” (from the French word: coller which means to create an assemblage of different forms to create a new whole). It is a term coined by artists G. Braque and P. Picasso in the early 20th century. Collage is very versatile and can take many forms. Our focus will be on using paper as “paint and texture”. We will work on a still life and then let our imagination fly with a portrait. You will need to bring photocopies of yourself or a loved one. Cost is 35 CHF; Workshop: March 16th.
You may sign up for this and future sessions at the Doodle-Signup. Check date you are interested in even if it is full to get on the waiting list. Please contact Jeanine at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to get on the mailing list.
Because materials are bought based on the number participating you are liable for costs if you cancel after four days prior to activity (unless someone on the waiting list can take your place). Please let me know as soon as possible if you cannot make it so I can take you off the list and others can see if they can sign up.
