Guided Tour CIMA Music Box Museum
About this event :
In 1796, Geneva based watchmaker, Antoine Favre-Salomon (1734–1820), invented the first music box – a pocket watch with an embedded musical mechanism.
From 1811 until the end of the 19th century, Sainte-Croix developed to become the centre for music box manufactures. Today the CIMA Music Box Museum presents these melodious handcrafted items – each of them masterpieces of engineering and marquetry. Please join us for a visit of the museum with a guided tour!
