About this event :

First created in 1971 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Vaudois horticultural society, the Morges Tulip Festival takes place every spring down by the lake in the Parc de l’Indépendance. It is a glorious feast for the eyes, full of colour and shapes.
The park is in the centre of Morges by the side of the lake. It is only a 10 minute walk from the gare and there also is a large parking lot in front of it. We will meet at 11:30 in front of the toilet block at the top of the car park as this is near the entrance to the park. Entrance to the park is free but be sure to pay for the car park.
We’re planning to visit the tulips then adjourn for lunch in Morges. Afterwards, we’re visiting the Fondation Bolle, also in the centre of Morges, which has a room dedicated to Audrey Hepburn who lived for almost 30 years in Tolochenaz near Morges. Entrance to the foundation is also free.
For further information about this outing, contact Pauline Malley or Latika Bhirangi: explorelausanne@aiwc-lausanne.org.
If you’re interested in flowers, Morges has produced a downloadable flier that describes other floral events that take place during the Spring and Summer months. [Depliant_FLEURS].
